This university could,perhaps,deliver a course on the fine art of bribery.Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science (HITS),a Tamil Nadu-based deemed university,was caught bribing accreditation officials and when pulled up for doing so,smugly feigned ignorance about payment rules.
So convincing was their excuse that the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) director decided to go soft and instead of filing a criminal offence,refused to grade the deemed university for two years.The decision was taken at the recent NAAC executive council meeting,despite the fact that the inspecting team,comprising of academics,had complained that when they reached the university,they were showered with gifts and swathes of money.
In fact,the NAAC director said he wrote to HITS authorities about the inducement offered.The HITS vice-chancellor acknowledged saying,There was discrepancy in the payment and it was at variance with NAAC norms.
Rules state that the host university has to bear the visiting teams travelling and dearness allowance and pay the team an honorarium.But clearly,HITS was rather generous towards the NAAC team.The HITS V-C explained that this (the payments and the gifts) was without any mala fide intention on our part and therefore be seen as an oversight on our part and no meaning may be read into it.We apologize for any inconvenience caused in this regard. Those in the education sector called the episode a one-off incident and said that the visiting team was either utterly honest,or not satisfied with the sum offered.University and college heads say it is extremely common for authorities to try and bulldoze their way for a better grade.
We demand proper justification from the NAAC authorities as the HITS is one of the prestigious institutions in South India..

Hey in the above Mr.ashoak Varghese has given a lame comment.. he should have argued back or atleast given some decent reply!! dis shows how Hindustan university has gone to d drains and this blog is TRUE... Now i very well understand the logic.. more money they get from students.. r only spent for dese bribing and other un-wanted activities... SRM college is way more better than Hindustan.. they atleast provide facilities for d money they get from the students..In d near future u can find only a bunch of losers studying in this college who has got " no-value for their money (paid as fees)".. God save those poor students!! Jai Hind!!
Clearly Hindustan University is a fraud institution. Only ignorant students from Assam,Bihar, Jharkhand and Bengal and backward parts of Tamilnadu come here. They take huge capitation fee. Most teachers are good for nothing. One teacher in Mecahnical Eng. is a criminal - tried to fraud a bank for home loan. The owners son Ashok Vargheres who is a director himself was caught in copying in examination of the college when it was under Anna University. His elder brother Ananad Vergehese who is the CEO and Director poses himself as Pro Chancellor. he does not have any qualification except an MBA from some obscure college in London. His mother who is the chancellor has a paid PhD. All they do is buy new imported cars. Their nephew Aby Sam who is another Director , has built a house worth more than a crore by cheating company. The whole college (now university) is a joke. NAAC should ahve filed a criminal case.

Dude.......I study in SRM, it also sucks man!! we pray everyday that it should get closed down so that other people dont get fucked up like we got. So lets hope the NAAC Fucks SRM too!!
i am sorry to say this, Hindustan college is the well known college in the past years for his excellency in teaching , especially in mechanical. like RKS sir,JP sir. dont say faculties are good for nothing. just by the mangement attitude faculties will not give their ability and sincerity in teaching. I can say proudly the students who studied in hindustan are well setteled in all over the countries.
hindustan university is n a poor condition now. there r no good staffs in the 'prestigious' aeronautical dept. students r in a very pathetic state.no single staff s having a good knowledge in the subjects and about the field. only few people kno how to speak properly n take class. I REQUEST YOU PEOPLE NOT TO MENTION HINDUSTAN UNIVERSITY AS A GOOD COLLEGE TO ANYONE ANYMORE. IT HAS LOST EVERYTHING. both management and faculties r becoming more and more 'MONEY SUCKING' AND NEGLIGENT TOWARDS STUDENTS LIFE. PEOPLE!!!DON T WASTE UR LIFE BY JOINING IN THIS LIKE I DID.
Now there is a case of victimization of students of automobile engineering by one sadistic professor Kamalakannan. He is trying to drive the students to commit suicide. The college should terminate him without delay to save the department.

As a student of hindustan , in its current state i will firmly ask every kid to stay away frm d college. I do agree that there are very talented teachers like JP, RKS n RK, bt no proper labs, no proper staff, does anyone know prof. buxshumian, that fucker doesnt know shit. Everyone who studies there must know prakash, the biggest motherfucker of all time, shrewd, clever, and a prick, this guy in the vigilence dept will do anything to give u a fine. and once u join the university( or so called), u can pay fine for almost anything u can imagine.

It is not H.I.T.S It is S.H.I.T worst ever college in Chennai beware to join this institution they give false promises and fine for every dam thing you do. worst HOSTEL,FOOD,TEACHING (passed out students are the staffs now poor quality) ,TRANSPORT ,MANAGEMENT etc
