SACHIN blasts his 50th century..N still going..

India's batting legend Sachin Tendulkar has become the first man on Earth to score 50 Test centuries in world cricket.
Finally the wait is over as the maestro played a masterful innings trying to save India from the blushes in the first test against South Africa in Centurion.

      It was what the entire cricketing world was praying for and it could not have come in a more handy time for India, and at the same time let's not forget our Great Wall's achievement when Rahul Dravid became the third batsman to score 12,000 Test runs.
       Dravid reached the milestone in typically unspectacular fashion with a single off Harris in the 64th over, matching a feat achieved previously by Tendulkar and Ricky Ponting.
       The two legends of Indian cricket set an example for every child who is aspiring to become a future cricketer as all their shots and footworks are just copy-works from the Book of Cricket, which has been scripted down the years by greats like Don Bradman, Viv Richards, Chappels, Gouch and many others...

         Let us pray that they carry the good work in promoting Cricket to an even more wider dimension and would love to see Cricket added to Olympics very soon...

        Gone are the days when we had wait for an week for a broadband connection. Till today Data card are mostly used by businessmen only owing to the fact that it is a bit costlier..but this trend is sure to change now .....

TRANSFORMERS: Dark of the Moon - Coming soon

Transformers: Dark of the Moon is the third film in the Transformers film series, directed by Michael Bay and produced by Steven Spielberg. It is the sequel to Transformers and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and is scheduled for release on July 1, 2011 in Real D 3D. It will also be released in 2D.   

CAST :     
        The cast includes Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, John Turturro and Ramón Rodríguez are set to reprise their starring roles, with Peter Cullen returning as the voice of Optimus Prime, and Hugo Weaving also returning as the voice of Megatron with the only difference being that Megan Fox would not be reprising her role from the previous two films and with Fox's character Mikaela being dropped, Sam would be assigned a new love interest, who will be played by English model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

PLOT:     
         In 1969, the Apollo 11 moon landing mission ventures onto the far side of the moon for a top-secret mission. For the next twenty-one minutes, they document the wreck of a Cybertronian spacecraft with no survivors, confirming that mankind is not alone in the universe. Forty years later, the secrets of that mission are uncovered.

FACEBOOK recruiting students from IIT Madras with a pay package of Rs.38 lakhs

Facebook, a social networking site has offered a package of Rs 38 lakh around USD 85,000 for IIT Madras students during the ongoing placement season. Companies selecting prospective candidates from the country's premier educational institute IIT Madras began on December 1.
        He said around 1000 students from various streams including B Tech, MTech, MS, Doctoral programmes, MBA, have registered for placements this year and so far around 30 students have received offers from various multi-national companies including Goldman Sachs, IBM and Boston Consulting Group.
       However, Facebook leads the chart with a package of Rs 38 lakh, every year students eagerly await to participate in the campus selection and this year too more than 260 companies have registered so far, says N Ramesh Babu, IIT Madras Advisor for Training and Placement, said the final round of interview would be done later.
"Usually Facebook after conducting all the rounds, will conduct another interview via Skype from the US and the student who gets the USD 85,000 package.
        Now that the world has come to know about Facebook's origin as vividly narrated in the movie "The Social Network", which has picked up a major share of honors at the opening event of the Hollywood awards 'Season', including David Fincher was named Best Director for his work on the project, and writer Aaron Sorkin won Best Adapted Screenplay.
Jesse Eisenberg won Best Actor for his portrayal of the Facebook's founder, Mark Zuckerberg.

SACHIN in fray for Laureus World Award

Sachin Tendulkar will compete with the likes of Rafael Nadal and Sebastian Vettel for the 2011 Laureus World Sportsman award.
         The Laureus World Sports Awards, which recognize sporting achievement during 2010, are the premier honors on the international sporting calendar.
         Tendulkar, who is the  ICC Player of the Year, will also have to fight it out with spin legend Sri Lanka's Muttiah Muralitharan for the prestigious award.
         Star footballers like Diego Forlan, Andres Iniesta and Lionel Messi will also hope to become the first-ever team player to win this individual Award.
         Tendulkar has been very consistent all through out the year. He became the first man to score a double century in a ODI history in February, hitting an unbeaten 200 for India against South Africa.       
         He also became the first man to score 14,000 runs in Test cricket in which he also scored his 49th Test century during the second Test against Australia in Bangalore in October playing in his 171st Test match, . 
        Rafael Nadal is the current World No. 1 and completing his Grand Slam by winning his first US OPEN in 2010.
       Lionel Messi is the current holder of  Ballon d' Or  - FIFA World Player of the Year 2009 and literally thrashed Real Madrid 5-0 in the recently La Liga match in Nou Camp.
        Diego Forlan won the Golden Boot award in the FIFA World Cup  in South Africa.
        Muttiah Muralitharan, took his world record 800th Test wicket on the final day of his career in Galle in July 2010.
        Sebastain Vettel is the current World Champion, having won in the 2010 season and currently driving for Red Bull Racing. In the same year he, along with teammate Mark Webber, helped Red Bull win the World Constructors' Championship .
    
The names of the six nominees for the Laureus World Sportsman of the Year Award, as voted by the Laureus Media Selection Panel, will be announced in early January.     
        The eventual winner will then be chosen from that list of Nominees by the Laureus World Sports Academy, the ultimate sports jury, made up of 46 of the greatest sportsmen and sportswomen of all time, and will be unveiled during a televised Awards Ceremony in Abu Dhabi on Monday, February.

INDIA excels in ASIAN GAMES 2010


China swept the 16th Asian games as expected. The Hosts dominated the show by winning 416 medals including 199 G, 119 S, 98 B. As competition progressed the fight for second spot was between  South Korea and Japan. But it was South Korea who bagged the second place with 76 G , 65 S, 91 B taking a tally of 232medals. India bettered its own Asian Games tally to find itself in No.6 with its best ever medal tally of 64 comprising of 14G, 17S, 33B, surpassing its earlier record of 13G with a total of 59 medal in 1982 Asian Games which held in Delhi.
        
HEROES of the event:         
                  In Tennis, Indian star Somdev Devarman repeated his magic of CWG. Not only in singles but also in doubles . With big names like Bhupathi, Paes, Bopanna missing their Asian games due to their ATP commitments, all expectations fell on Somdev’s shoulder and the first gold came from Doubles event beating the host,  in spite of a hostile home crowd support high on their heels, the match went to a super tie breaker when the Indians held their nerves to win the super tie breaker .
      The singles gold was much better and sweeter, Somdev, currently  106 in the ATP Rankings beat his Uzbek opponent, Denis Istomin, ranked 66 places above him in straight sets 6-1,6-2. The youth icon said that it was his childhood dream to win medals for the country and nothing important than playing for country. Something which other senior players have to learn from him. 
      In Kabbadi  team both men and women players bagged the gold , while men's team beat Iran with an comfortable margin, women team won the semis by 1pt against Iran and marched to gold by beating the Thailand. 
      To everyone’s surprise most of gold medals won came from Tracking & Field events, which till date haven’t been such a good hunting ground for the Indians.  It bagged 5G,2S, 4B to move India to 8th position with Joseph Abraham and Ashwini Akkunji created history by winning 400m Hurdles.
India's ace marksman Ronjan Sodhi won the individual gold in the Men's double trap event and helped Indian team bag the bronze medal at the Asian Games.
In some cases India missed bronze narrowly by a margin of 1/100th second.  On the whole they played with heart and raised to the occasion.

The REAL HERO:
                It was Vijender Singh who was the Star of the games who  earned India the 14th Gold when all the odds were against him when hehumbled the two-time World champion Abbos Atoev of Uzbekistan by 7-0 
for a memorable gold, thereby making a new record of 14G for India in Asian Games history and therefore was the Flag-bearer for India at the Closing ceremony of the games. 

ZEROES of the event:          
                The games  started with disappointment as the Indian shooters could not win golds with the likes of like Abhinav Bindra, Gagan Narang who had much success in CWG .  Boxing athletes could better  only with 7 medals. Many CWG Gold medalists who made it finals were not able to convert that silver into gold. As the days progressed India  was lying in 12 position in medals tally.
        The huge disappointment came from Men’s Hockey, after their scintillating run in CWG , everyone expected them to win gold, but unfortunately they lost to Malaysia 4-3 in semis, though they bagged bronze by beating Koreans. Women’s team really were miserable. 
                In Badminton, Sania Nehwal could not repeat her magic as she did not do justice to her status and missed out her gold.     
                In Cricket, which is introduced for the first time in Asian games, BCCI should have acted more wisely by team sending their B team just like the Sri Lankans and Pakistan, for a nation like India which breathes Cricket this act was a shame and it is BCCI who should be held responsible but the climax saw both the Asian majors being upset by an unknown Afghan team and Bangladesh team. Credit must go to Afghan players, but unfortunately they lost the finals by 3 runs to Bangladesh. However Pakistan saw their women’s team to bag gold.              
        Though this was India’s best show in Asian Games with an haul of 64 medals, let us hope they learn from their mistakes and bring more  laurels to the country in the future.

VIJAY’s GHILLI rocks China


Now there’s another  reason to cheer for the IllayaThalapathi Vijay’s  Fans all over the world as his song “KABADDI KABADDI” from Vijay’s all time biggest blockbuster hit movie “GHILLIE” was played during the Kabaddi games event in 16th ASIAN GAMES in China.
       This came as a complete surprise to all and totally unexpected for most of the public even back in India and this is of course a very proud moment for Tamil Industry – Kollywood as they famously call it..
      Till date most of the songs that were played were popular Bollywood songs like Jai Ho, Chak De and in this event even a number from Jaane Tu Jaane Na… - Hey muscular hey popular” was played in the event held in Guangzhou, China.
     This vibrating song from Ghillie was not only played during the finals between India vs Iran but also for all the Men’s n Women’s Kabaddi matches.
      This is a very distinct appraise for Vijay as the previous occasion when a South Indian song got International acclaim was for SuperStar Rajnikanth’s “Rakkama Kaiya thatu” song from the movie THALAPATHI which remained First in the Top 10 best ever songs from Asia for several months. Now this is one more icing in the cake for the IllayaThalapathi…
     Hope these are clear indications that South Indian songs will sooner or later hog the limelight just like how ENTHIRAN broke several Bollywood n even Hollywood records recently..

North Korea mounting War crisis over South Korea

North Korea and South Korea are on the brink of war which will definitely affect the peace and stability of South-Asia.

          It all started when North Korea attacked Yeonpyeong, an island of South Korea when it torpedoed and sank a South Korean naval warship, the Cheonan, in March, which was part of Military exercise.   
      The impact was not just the glimpses of a mounting war between the two countries but also had immediate catastrophic effect on the Asian markets, with Indian sensex falling by 1000 points.
          With South Korean Allies condemning the attack and had got assurance as they have put their Navy in Korean waters,is just nothing short of growing tension in the Korean region.
          North Korea which has heavy military ammunition including Nuclear missiles will hurt badly if war starts. The US,an ally of South Korea is not only known for defending its friend but more importantly it should not pre-erupt COMMENTS ADDING FUEL TO FIRE.
          It is the duty Russia and China to hold talks with their fellow mate North Korea not to go to war with heat felt in Korean waters.
          It is therefore in the hands of Russia, China and US to ensure peace prevails in the Korean region, provided the US want to purposely provoke war in-order to disrupt the growth of the South-Asian countries  otherwise it will not only cause another fateful Korean war,but also affect the South-Asian countries' trade growth and development with the outer world.,having a major impact of developing countries like India, Malaysia, Philippines  etc.,
         Lets us all pray and wish that this hour of trivial last should not last long and that peace should be restored for the safety and goodwill of the people of both the nations..

Where have the rights to guard Men gone ???

Are Men just another animal like a stray dog, to be thrashed and kicked around,jus like this event that happened in Delhi Metro on Nov 26, when a group of men alleged travelling in a Ladies only compartment of the Metro train.
         This came as an ominous shock to the public to discover that a group of men were thrashed in the Delhi Metro by security forces personnel for travelling in the coaches reserved for women, without any proper investigation for the reason of travelling and the worst thing was they were made to put sit-ups for travelling in the reserved coach at Hauz Khas Metro station," said Cynthia Abraham, an eye witness..

   Where has all the rights gone which guards men against all these oppression ?????

   Are all these because of the 33% right given to women,that makes men look like mere creatures ????

The most interesting thing is the comment given by woman who was travelling in that coach revealed the injustice that happened just because of the turn-of-events that happened by fate(I suppose..)..

       Vikky Seghal, a Gurgaon-based employee, almost lost his eye in the thrashing he received.

"Vikky boarded the train from Sikanderpur and entered the ladies coach to hand over to me my laptop . However, due to the heavy rush, he could not move to the general coaches," said a female friend of Sehgal.
       "Suddenly, five male and two female security personnel entered the coach and started thrashing all the men who were standing next to the women's coach. They used abusive language and did not even listen to us," she added.
      Seghal's spectacles were broken and he was hurt near his eyes. His nose started to bleed profusely.
      "Finally, we got down at the Guru Dronacharya Station and went to the customer care to report the case. I had to rush him to the hospital," she added.


       This is the cruel treatment that was mented to his poor guy who never intended to travel in the women's compartment..
       This is a SERIOUS thing which can happen to anyone,even YOU who's reading this...
       The Politicians though they have an inner-feeling of having to support Men in these kinda situations,tend to be tight-lipped because they fear they might lose the Votes from women n ladies..
        I'm not an anti-feminist or insanely supporting men for their wrong-doings,am just pleading the authorities to have Common Sense in treating Men the way they have to be,because even women know that ALL MEN ARE NOT BAD..
        The Human Rights Commission that comes to help women during any social or communal problems should also step up for these things to Protect Men from these Social Injustice...

FEDERER wins ATP WORLD TOUR 2010

 peRFect - Roger Federer
Roger Federer just blew the World No. 1 Rafael Nadal in the ATP in the finals of Barclays ATP Men's World Tour 2010 in London.
        It was a spell bound performance from the Fed Ex as he won courtesy 6-3,3-6,6-1 and claimed his 5th title of the year and wasn't he a happy man after seeing thru' this greatest nemesis over the years..

       Federer played like the King we all know and made everyone realise what he is made-of by winning his 66th title of his career thereby finishing this calender year on a high...
      It was really nice seeing Federer with the trophy as he has recently had a pretty lean patch losing to several players of lesser calibre when compared to his immaculate stature..
      Of course we have to accept the fact that Federer's getting older every year and there has to be a dip in playing levels because everyone knows how hard it is to compete in modern day fast n swift Tennis when there is a difference in age of about 5-6years.
     But Federer is here to stay and that he will come in gearing and firing in all cylinders come next year 2011 and lets hope and pray that the King Federer accumulates more trophies onto his trophy cabinet..

South Africa to honour TENDULKAR

Cricket South Africa (CSA) announced special plans for its fans in Durban as it decided to honour Sachin Tendulkar and Makhaya Ntini.
     The two will be honoured at the historic Standard Bank International Pro20 match at the Moses Mabhida stadium in Durban on 9 January, 2011, which will be the cherry on the top of a year of celebrations to mark the 150th anniversary of the arrival of the first indentured Indian labourers to South Africa in the city on 16 November, 1860.
     The two teams will battle it out for the inaugural Krish Mackerdhuj Trophy, named after a veteran South African Indian sports administrator.
     The match will be followed by the New Age Friendship Celebration Concert, teaming up leading local artists with Bollywood heavyweights Shahrukh, Anil Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra.

        CSA CEO Gerald Majola said: "This match will be a singular commemoration of the close relationship between South Africa and India in cricket, cultural and commercial links going back over decades.


      "Sachin is the only remaining playing member of the Indian team that played the first match against South Africa both at home and away after our unity, in the first team to tour South Africa and now he is here again to celebrate with us this historic match.

AUSTRALIA WINS BEER "if Aussies win ASHES" ?!?!?

Australian team sponsors will provide free Beer to every adult in Australia if they win the Ashes at home.
        The Australian team sponsors Carlton and United Breweries announced the promotion in Sydney when Australian captain Ricky Ponting was present in the function.
        If the Kangaroos recapture the Ashes, the brewery would print vouchers in five Australian newspapers which could be redeemed for a bottle of its beer.


The promotion could cost a whopping 20 million Australian dollars.


The first Test of the highly anticipated Ashes series gets underway on November 25. England, the current holders of the urn will look to win their first series in Australia in 24 years.

STEVE JOBS' SPEECH in STANFORD

Thank you.
I'm honored to be with you today for your commencement from one of the finest universities in the world. Truth be told, I never graduated from college, and this is the closest I've ever gotten to a college graduation. Today, I want to tell you three stories from my life. That's it. No big deal. Just three stories.

The first story is about CONNECTING THE DOTS:
           I dropped out of Reed College after the first six months, but then stayed around as a drop-in for another 18 months or so before I really quit. So why did I drop out? It started before I was born. My biological mother was a young, unwed graduate student, and she decided to put me up for adoption. She felt very strongly that I should be adopted by college graduates, so everything was all set for me to be adopted at birth by a lawyer and his wife except that when I popped out they decided at the last minute that they really wanted a girl.
        So my parents, who were on a waiting list, got a call in the middle of the night asking, "We've got an unexpected baby boy; Do you want him?" They said, "Of course." My biological mother found out later that my mother had never graduated from college and that my father had never graduated from high school. She refused to sign the final adoption papers. She only relented a few months later when my parents promised that I would go to college. This was the start in my life.
        And 17 years later I did go to college. But I naively chose a college that was almost as expensive as Stanford, and all of my working-class parents' savings were being spent on my college tuition. After six months, I couldn't see the value in it. I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life and no idea how college was going to help me figure it out. And here I was spending all of the money my parents had saved their entirelife.
       So I decided to drop out and trust that it would all work out okay. It was pretty scary at the time, but looking back it was one of the best decisions I ever made. The minute I dropped out I could stop taking the required classes that didn't interest me, and begin dropping in on the ones that looked far more interesting.
It wasn't all romantic. I didn't have a dorm room, so I slept on the floor in friends' rooms. I returned coke bottles for the five cent deposits to buy food with, and I would walk the seven miles across town every Sunday night to get one good meal a week at the Hare Krishna temple. I loved it. And much of what I stumbled into by following my curiosity and intuition turned out to be priceless later on.
Let me give you one example:
        Reed College at that time offered perhaps the best calligraphy instruction in the country. Throughout the campus every poster, every label on every drawer, was beautifully hand calligraphed. Because I had dropped out and didn't have to take the normal classes, I decided to take a calligraphy class to learn how to do this. I learned about serif and san serif typefaces, about varying the amount of space between different letter combinations, about what makes great typography great. It was beautiful, historical, artistically subtle in a way that science can't capture, and I found it fascinating.
        None of this had even a hope of any practical application in my life. But ten years later, when we were designing the first Macintosh computer, it all came back to me. And we designed it all into the Mac. It was the first computer with beautiful typography. If I had never dropped in on that single course in college, the "Mac"
would have never had multiple typefaces or proportionally spaced fonts. And since Windows just copied the Mac, it's likely that no personal computer would have them.
        If I had never dropped out, I would have never dropped in on that calligraphy class, and personal computers might not have the wonderful typography that they do. Of course it was impossible to connect the dots looking forward when I was in college.
         But it was very, very clear looking backwards 10 years later.
Again, you can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect themlooking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever because believing that the dots will connect down the road will give you the
confidence to follow your heart, even when it leads you off the wellworn path, and
that will make all the difference.
My second story is about LOVE & LOSS:
          I was lucky I found what I loved to do early in life. Woz¹ and I started Apple in my parents' garage when I was 20. We worked hard, and in 10 years Apple had grown from just the two of us in a garage into a two billion dollar company with over 4000 employees. We'd just released our finest creation the Macintosh a year earlier, and I had just turned 30. And then I got fired. How can you get fired from a company you started?     
           Well, as Apple grew we hired someone who I thought was very talented to run the company with me, and for the first year or so things went well. But then our visions of the future began to diverge and eventually we had a falling out. When we did, our Board of Directors sided with him. And so at 30, I was out. And very publicly out. What had been the focus of my entire adult life was gone, and it was devastating. I really didn't know what to do for a few months. I felt that I had let the previous generation of entrepreneurs down --that I had dropped the baton as it was being passed to me. I met with David Packard and Bob Noyce and tried to apologize for screwing up so badly. I was a very public failure, and I even thought about running away from the valley. But something slowly began to dawn on me: I still loved what I did. The turn of events at Apple had not changed that one bit. I had been rejected, but I was still in love. And so I decided to start over.
I didn't see it then, but it turned out that getting fired from Apple was the best thing that could have ever happened to me. The heaviness of being successful was replaced by the lightness of being a beginner again, less sure about everything. It freed me to enter one of the most creative periods of my life.
         During the next five years, I started a company named NeXT; another company named Pixar, and fell in love with an amazing woman who would become my wife. Pixar went on to create the world's first computer animated feature film, Toy Story, and is now the most successful animation studio in the world. In a remarkable turn of events, Apple bought NeXT, and I retuned to Apple, and the technology we
developed at NeXT is at the heart of Apple's current renaissance. And Laurene and I have a wonderful family together. I'm pretty sure none of this would have happened if I hadn't been fired from Apple. It was awful tasting medicine, but I guess the patient needed it. Sometime life sometimes life's going to hit you in the head with a brick. Don't lose faith. I'm convinced that the only thing that kept me going was that I loved what I did. You've got to find what you love.
         And that is as true for work as it is for your lovers. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking and --don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it. And like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking don't settle.

My third story is about DEATH:

         When I was 17, I read a quote that went something like: "If you live each day as if it was your last, someday you'll most certainly be right." It made an impression on me, and since then, for the past 33 years, I've looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: "If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?" And whenever the answer has been "No" for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.
        Remembering that I'll be dead soon is the most important tool I've ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life. Because almost everything all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.
       About a year ago I was diagnosed with cancer. I had a scan at 7:30 in the morning, and it clearly showed a tumor on my pancreas. I didn't even know what a pancreas was. The doctors told me this was almost certainly a type of cancer that is incurable, and that I should expect to live no longer than three to six months. My doctor advised me to go home and get my affairs in order, which is doctor's code for "prepare to die."
It means to try and tell your kids everything you thought you'd have the next 10 years to tell them in just a few months. It means to make sure everything is buttoned up so that it will be as easy as possible for your family. It means to say your goodbyes.
         I lived with that diagnosis all day. Later that evening I had a biopsy, where they stuck an endoscope down my throat, through my stomach into my intestines, put a needle into my pancreas and got a few cells from the tumor. I was sedated, but my wife, who was there, told me that when they viewed the cells under a microscope the doctors started crying because it turned out to be a very rare form of pancreatic cancer that is
curable with surgery. I had the surgery and, thankfully, I'm fine now.
         This was the closest I've been to facing death, and I hope it's the closest I get for a few more decades. Having lived through it, I can now say this to you with a bit more certainty than when death was a useful but purely intellectual concept: No one wants to die.
          Even people who want to go to heaven don't want to die to get there. And yet death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it. And that is as it should be, because Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It's Life's change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new. Right now the new is you, but someday not too long from now, you will gradually become the old and be cleared away. Sorry to be so dramatic, but it's quite true.
          Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary. When I was young, there was an amazing publication called The Whole Earth Catalogue, which was one of the "bibles" of my generation. It was created by a fellow named Stewart Brand not far from here in Menlo Park, and he brought it to life with his poetic touch. This was in the late 60s, before personal computers and desktop publishing, so it was all made with typewriters, scissors, and Polaroid cameras. It was sort of like Google in paperback form, 35 years before Google came along. It was idealistic, overflowing with neat tools and great notions. Stewart and his team put out several issues of The Whole Earth Catalog, and then when it had run its course, they put out a final issue. It was the mid1970s, and I was your age. On the back cover of their final issue was a photograph of an early morning country road, the kind you might find yourself hitchhiking on if you were so adventurous. Beneath it were the words:
          "Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish." It was their farewell message as they signed off. Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish. And I've always wished that for myself. And now, as you graduate to begin a new, I wish that for you.
                                    Stay Hungry.
                                    Stay Foolish.

HINDUSTAN UNIVERSITY caught for BRIBING NAAC Officials ???

HINDUSTAN UNIVERSITY well know for its Aeronautical Engineering and Aviation related studies through-out India is now facing a rather strange situation. Founded by Dr. K.C.G. Varghese, HITS has come out in flying colors in fields of Mechanical Engineering and M.E Avionics & is the first university in Chennai to have started MBA in Aviation Management in 2009 is notable.  Is this accusation false aimed at ruining the name n decorum of the college.. We have to wait and watch..

Feigns Ignorance On Rules:

Mumbai: According to Times of India Publications.,


            This university could,perhaps,deliver a course on the fine art of bribery.Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science (HITS),a Tamil Nadu-based deemed university,was caught bribing accreditation officials and when pulled up for doing so,smugly feigned ignorance about payment rules.
So convincing was their excuse that the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) director decided to go soft and instead of filing a criminal offence,refused to grade the deemed university for two years.The decision was taken at the recent NAAC executive council meeting,despite the fact that the inspecting team,comprising of academics,had complained that when they reached the university,they were showered with gifts and swathes of money.
                In fact,the NAAC director said he wrote to HITS authorities about the inducement offered.The HITS vice-chancellor acknowledged saying,There was discrepancy in the payment and it was at variance with NAAC norms.
               Rules state that the host university has to bear the visiting teams travelling and dearness allowance and pay the team an honorarium.But clearly,HITS was rather generous towards the NAAC team.The HITS V-C explained that this (the payments and the gifts) was without any mala fide intention on our part and therefore be seen as an oversight on our part and no meaning may be read into it.We apologize for any inconvenience caused in this regard. Those in the education sector called the episode a one-off incident and said that the visiting team was either utterly honest,or not satisfied with the sum offered.University and college heads say it is extremely common for authorities to try and bulldoze their way for a better grade. 

                We demand proper justification from the NAAC authorities as the HITS is one of the prestigious institutions in South India..
